iHeartMedia kicked the summer off with the KTUphoria 2022 on Saturday, June 18 at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater. Hosted by WKTU/New York Personalities, the star-studded event celebrated all things summer with performances from today’s hottest artists including Pitbull, Ava Max, Regard, Laidback Luke, Lodato. Plus, a Special 25th Anniversary Freestyle Set from TKA, Freedom Williams & C & C Music Factory, George Lamond, Judy Torres, Coro, Cynthia, Lisette Melendez, Reina, Lucas Prata, and Kim Sozzi.
Saturday kicked off with the KTUphoria 2022 Pre-Show. The daytime event featured live performances by Rockell, Katy Tiz. Anees, Chloe Jane, Carly Underwood, Alle’ with Ryan Brahms, and DJ Gozzi. Special guests included former KTU on-air personalities, Speedy, Vic Latino, Jewelz En Tu Radio, Jagger, DJ Riddler, Showboat, and Broadway Bill Lee.
The music of 103.5 KTU came to life with an extraordinary lineup and these special moments:
- Reina opened the show and got everyone on their feet with her hit song “No One’s Going To Change You”
- Cynthia and Coro brought back all the feels as they performed Cynthia’s hit song, “Dreamboy, Dreamgirl”
- Judy Torres and George Lamond performed a crowd favorite Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’”
- Hollywood Hamilton presented Lodato with the Dance Artist of the Year (Radio) at The EDM Awards while at KTUphoria.
- After Lodato’s set, his manager, Jared Overeem, proposed to his girlfriend on stage! She said YES!
- Freestyle artists came together to perform a special 25th-anniversary set dedicated to KTU and their listeners
- Ava Max brought the heat to the KTUphoria stage with her fan favorites including “My Head & My Heart,” “Kings & Queens,” “The Motto,” and the song that put her on the map, “Sweet But Psycho”
- Fans were in all their glory as Pitbull hit the KTUphoria stage and performed all his mega-hits including “Fireball,” “Hotel Room Service,” “Feel This Moment,” “International Love, “I Feel Good” and more! He ended the show with “Give Me Everything”
