Who is someone in the industry that you don’t hear much about,
but is doing things that others should take notice of?

Mike Kaplan/B97: Woody, mornings at Live 105.  He’s creative, he’s inventive… just a pure talent who continues to excel.

Natalie Randall/WFBC: Nikki Nite and Tias Schuster. I think the world of Nikki and Tias is a force to be reckoned with.

Beaver/WERO: Rolf Pepple, our GM. He does something in our company pretty unique. He has these little notepads around the building stating “exceeding my expectations” and every time you do something good he’ll fill it out and stick it in a box. Once a month he reads the notes to everyone and gives recognition to people for what they did for the company that the rest of the company might not know about.

Tias Schuster/WKRZ: One of my Entercom compadres, Brian Kelly who is doing some really cool interactive things with his station.

Toby Knapp/WIHT: Radio: Brian Bridgeman, Rob Wagman and Stan Priest. Records: Rick Schmit and Brady Bedard. Air personalities: Ashlee Reid, Brotha Fred and Meridith Harris.

Tony Waitekus/WIXX: Duke Wright, the owner of our company (Midwest Communications).  This guy makes broadcasting fun again. He’s made it an amazing company to work for.

Mo’ Bounce/KXXM: Honestly, there are LOTS!  But right off the bat I would say DJ Richie Rich @ Q102 Philly. When I did nights in Philly I really enjoyed his passion for playing the right stuff!  And now that I’m in San Antonio, he does a killer mix for us! He’s does a great mixshow, and really studies the music and how its doing on the charts and is not just ‘another club DJ’. Yo Richie, where’s my 5 bucks!

Jason Squires/KFRR: Danny at KRAB Radio/Bakersfield, CA.

Capone/WHRL: That one guy in that one little town in the Midwest…

Don Kelley/WAQX: Mark Fischer, head of Rock at Island.

Trey Morgan/WKCI: Chris Randolph. He’s the PD at WZKF/Louisville.

Bob Patrick/WXLK: Me.

Chris Reed/KSMB: I think 2007 will be a big year for Omarion.

Billy The Baby DJ/KHTT:Scotty Mac at WSPK/Poughkeepsie.

Mike Rossi/WSTW: Mike Rossi.

Brody/WDCG: Our night guy, Geller.

Tim Rainey/WNOU: MD’s at Top 40 radio. They are the true unsung heroes.
