Longtime music executive and producer Tommy LiPuma has passed away at the age of 80. Over his long career, LiPuma worked in radio promotion, publishing, production and a variety of other roles. He served as producer on recordings from a wide range of artists, including Paul McCartney, Miles Davis, Barbra Streisand and Willie Nelson. LiPuma also won five Grammy throughout his career.
LiPuma spent time at A&M, Blue Thumb Records, Horizon, Warner Bros, GRP and Impulse. He served as Chairman Emertus for Verge from 2004-2011 and was a Creative Consultant at Universal Music Publishing Group in 2014.
