CBS Radio Unveils New “Airtime Analytics” Measurement Tool
CBS Radio has announced it will be the first company to bring radio advertisers a new measurement tool that illustrates the ROI and effectiveness of their marketing campaigns.  CBS Radio Airtime Analytics measures the impact of audience delivery and engagement to show proven results. An exclusive tool offered only by CBS Radio in the markets in which it operates, Airtime Analytics evaluates the volume of audience delivered from an over-the-air radio campaign to an advertiser’s website. Those insights are then used to optimize creative content and placement throughout the flight of a campaign to maximize results.
“Radio has long been one of the most effective mediums in reaching a targeted demographic and Airtime Analytics is the next step in delivering even greater value to our clients,” said Bob Philips, Chief Revenue Officer, CBS Radio. “This exclusive new tool allows us to finally measure an advertiser’s lift in website traffic following a radio spot. Armed with an analysis of consumer movement, we are then able to give our clients a clear understanding of their most successful creative and daypart executions.”
CBS Radio Airtime Analytics was developed by AnalyticOwl, a broadcast analytics platform used to measure creative effectiveness and audience response.
David Ballinger, Founder of AnalyticOwl said, “We’re excited that hundreds of early adopting CBS Radio clients are using Airtime Analytics to prove that radio does in fact drive website traffic. This is the first time a radio company has utilized analytics on a national level and now, through CBS Radio’s forward thinking, advertisers can finally gain a better understanding of the immense impact of radio on their overall marketing mix.”

Clip Interactive Partners with Radio One & Reach Media
Clip Interactive, Radio One and its syndication company Reach Media have announced a partnership to deploy all of Radio One’s 53 radio stations and seven national network radio personalities, on Clip’s interactive audio platform for mobile and web.
Once fully deployed, every Radio One station and network personality show will deliver interactive broadcast and streaming content feeds to listeners via Clip-built mobile apps and web players.  Clip’s platform will enable rich interactivity and direct attribution of listener engagement for all station and personality content, including broadcast and stream advertising delivered by Radio One and Reach Media syndicated programming.
Radio One chose Clip as a digital strategy partner after a successful seven-month trial on their highly rated, five-station Washington, DC cluster.  Clip’s mobile and web solution provides Radio One listeners with a rich, engaging and consistent user experience across all digital channels, allowing stations and personalities to deliver highly engaging interactive content for traditional radio, as well as native, digital-only content.
With Radio One and Reach Media adopting Clip’s interactive audio platform, Clip continues to see significant industry-wide adoption of their technology and consumer-facing products which allow radio companies to compete with and surpass digital competitors. With Clip, broadcasters are seeing the benefits of hyper-engaged listeners and digital users. Clip’s solution for Radio One can leverage its reach, loyal listener base, and exclusive content, unlike many of the more commoditized music streaming only platforms.
Clip’s EVP/Chief Revenue Officer and industry veteran, Bill Freund shared, “After working operationally with Radio One for seven months, it’s clear that they have a sophisticated, forward-thinking digital team.  We’re very proud that a group with so much digital credibility chose our platform to pursue their digital vision.  And further, after providing our platform solution to a wide array of U.S. broadcasters for more than three years, we’re very excited to be playing such a critical role in changing the digital landscape for the whole radio industry.”
