Townsquare Media has announced today that radio veteran Chio Acosta has joined heritage country outlet WOKQ (97.5)/Portsmouth, NH as the new co-host of “Chio and Kira in the morning,” set to debut Monday, April 1. Co-host Kira Lew remains in place as the morning show’s co-host. The new program will be simulcast on sister WPKQ-FM (103-& The PEAK) in Portland, ME.
“Chio is one of the premiere morning hosts in the country and WOKQ is one of the premiere brands in country radio. We are excited to have Chio join the talented Kira Lew to bring fun, laughs, conversation and the best music to New England,” said Townsquare OM Robby Bridges.

Chio Acosta’s radio adventures have taken him from Florida to San Diego to New York to Philadelphia where he most recently anchored mornings on WISX (106.1 FM). Kira Lew joined WOKQ in 2017. The new show launches with “Win Chio and Kira’s Cash,” a chance to win $5,000 3 times per day, and Chio and Kira’s “5 Town Tour” where listeners will be encouraged to suggest the best places for breakfast for the show to broadcast from in May.
