Entertainment marketing agency The Syndicate is proud to announce the hiring of veteran publicist Brendan Bourke as Director of Publicity. Bourke will report to VP, PR & Artist Development Jeff Kilgour.
Brendan comes from his own Canvas Media, where he worked with a wide variety of established and up-and-coming artists including Japandroids, The Rentals, The Dodos, Villagers, BOYTOY, The Van Pelt, Gord Downie, Patrick Wolf, Rebecca Gates, An Horse, +/- {Plus/Minus}, Dawn Landes, The Crookes, Ex Cops, Figurines, and Woodpigeon, handling campaigns in the U.S. and Canada. Prior to Canvas he was co-owner of Tag Team Media representing Clinic, Death Cab For Cutie, Broken Social Scene, Tegan and Sara, Feist, Tokyo Police Club, Stars, and Ra Ra Riot, amongst many others. Bourke will be bringing with him to The Syn; Japandroids (for Canada), Clinic, The Rentals, BOYTOY, Little Junior, Bossie, Mare Island, Dead Leaf Echo and The Van Pelt, to name a few. These artists will join recent PR clients Andrew W.K., Chicano Batman, POP Montreal, Lee Fields & The Expressions, The String Cheese Incident, Shannon McNally, Scout Durwood, Caitlin Canty, Elizabeth & The Catapult and more.
