It’s a “wonderful” week for The Killers, as the band’s new record Wonderful Wonderful gives them the first #1 album of their career. It earned 118,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music, 111,000 of which were in traditional album sales. Their last release, 2012’s Battle Born arrived at #3 on the Billboard 200 and their previous highest-charting album was their sophomore record Sam’s Town at #2. As with many other top albums this year, Wonderful Wonderful was part of a bundle deal with concert tickets.
At #2 is another debut, Macklemore‘s GEMINI, the first album from the rapper without Ryan Lewis in over a decade. Lil Uzi Vert is at #3 with Luv is Rage 2. Kevin Gates flies up the chart week with By Any Means 2, landing at #4. The album was released a week ago but only had one date of eligible tracking activity, according to Billboard.
Singer-songwriter Jhené Aiko‘s newest album Trip debuts at #5. Stoney from Post Malone is at #6, followed by Imagine Dragons at #7, then Kendrick Lamar (#8), Khalid (#9) and Ed Sheeran (#10).
