John Fagot
DMS is saddened to learn of he passing of music industry lifer John Fagot at the age of 78. John’s career speaks volumes of the triumphs he enjoyed piloting promotion and marketing departments at Columbia Records, Capitol Records, and Hollywood Records.
DMS CEO Fred Deane expresses, “John was a successful record executive of a different era. One that reflected a different mood, mindset, excitement and comradery in our industry. He exemplified a generation of label execs who possessed the ideal blend of dedication to staff, commitment to artists, and a personality that allowed for fun…and yes, he was entertaining as all heck. We have fond memories of John, and I cherish the years in which I had the opportunity to share several business and social moments with the man during a truly classic era of this great industry.”
