Grammy Awards logoIt was a history making night at the 66th annual Grammy Awards in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday. Trevor Noah returned to host Music’s Biggest Night on CBS.

Taylor Swift made history taking home Album of the Year for Midnights, her fourth win in the category breaking her tie with Frank Sinatra, Paul Simon and Stevie Wonder. She also announced a new album during her acceptance speech earlier in the night when she won for Best Pop Vocal Album. The Tortured Poets Department is due out on April 19.

Miley Cyrus delivered a high-energy performance of her #1 hit “Flowers,” that earned her a Grammy, her first, for Best Pop Solo Performance, then came an even bigger award for Record of the Year.

Billie Eilish with brother Finneas performed “What Was I Made For,” from the Barbie movie soundtrack, and took home Song of the Year.

Longtime songwriter Victoria Monét was crowned Best New Artist.

This year’s Grammys were highlighted by a few memorable onstage moments led by Tracy Chapman making a rare appearance with Luke Combs to perform “Fast Car.” A song that she wrote and was her debut hit single in 1988.

At age 80, Joni Mitchell performed for the first time at the Grammys with an emotional rendition of “Both Sides Now.”

Jay-Z accepted the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award with daughter Blue Ivy.

Celine Dion surprised everyone with her appearance as she battles stiff-person syndrome brought and awarded Taylor Swift her historic win for Album of the Year.

The “Piano Man” Billy Joel performed “Turn the Lights Back On,” his first new song in 17 years. Then he closed out the show when he returned to perform “You May Be Right.”
