Taylor Swift‘s album Evermore is back at #1 this week on the Billboard 200 chart, thanks to the arrival of it as a vinyl record. Evermore flies from #74 back to #1 with 202,000 equivalent album units, according to MRC Media. The vinyl edition of Evermore finally arrived for fans who’d preordered it, breaking a modern-era sales figure for vinyl LPs (102,000). Billboard notes that Evermore‘s massive week for vinyl is due to five months of online pre-orders that were not tallied until the LP finally shipped. It also arrived at retailers across the country, with a Target-exclusive red version. Additionally, autographed CDs of Evermore were released via Swift’s website, while the digital version of the album was on sale at online retailers. Swift is also now the artist with the third-most weeks at #1 in Billboard 200 history with 53. Elvis Presley is #2 with The Beatles at #1.
Juice WRLD‘s Goodbye & Good Riddance flies to #7 from #30 due to its third-anniversary reissue with two new tracks. And the late DMX‘s posthumous album Exodus debuts at #8.
At #2 is last week’s top debut, Sour from Olivia Rodrigo. J. Cole‘s The Off-Season is at #3, with Morgan Wallen at #4 and Moneybagg Yo at #5. Dua Lipa lands at #6, with The Weekend at #9 and Luke Combs rounding the top ten out at #10.
