As expected, Taylor Swift remains at #1 on the Billboard 200 with her new album reputation, earning 256,000 equivalent album units. Of that number, 232,000 were in traditional album sales. The album is still unavailable on streaming services but its digital availability expanded from an iTunes-exclusive first week to all retailers.
At #2 is a new duets record from Country superstars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. The married couple’s first-ever collaborative release, titled The Rest of Our Life, earned 104,000 units, of which 98,000 were in traditional sales. Its chart debut was boosted by a bundled tie-in with tickets to the couple’s 2018 tour.
The other new release to debut in the top ten this week comes from another Country star, as Garth Brooks‘ new box set The Anthology: Part I, The First Five Years arrives at #4. The five-disc set was released on November 14 but its first three days of sales data were not reported to Nielsen Music (no reason is given by Billboard as to why), otherwise it would have debuted a week earlier.
Sam Smith‘s The Thrill of It All is at #3 on the Billboard 200 this week. A Pentatonix Christmas shoots back onto the chart at #5, just in time for the holiday season. The rest of the top ten is rounded out with P!nk at #6, then Maroon 5 (#7), Lil Uzi Vert (#8), Ed Sheeran (#9) and Post Malone (#10).
