Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift has directed and written many of her music videos over the years but is now taking a leap to the silver screen. According to Variety, Swift has written an original feature film script which she will direct for Searchlight Pictures. No other information has been revealed about the project, which presumably will not get underway until after Swift’s massive 2023 Eras Tour.
“Taylor is a once in a generation artist and storyteller. It is a genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey,” Searchlight Presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield told Variety.
Swift has acted in small roles in multiple films over the years, including Cats, The Giver, the animated film The Lorax, and this year’s Amsterdam.
