For the sixth week in a row, Taylor Swift‘s Folklore is #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, earning 90,000 equivalent album units. Folklore has the longest reign at #1 since Drake‘s Views was at #1 for 13 weeks (though not all in a row) in 2016. Swift also ties Whitney Houston for the most combined weeks at #1 by a female artist, with 46. Folklore has also been at #1 for more weeks than any other artist in 2020.

At #2 is Pop Smoke‘s Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon while #3 is Legends Never Die by Juice WLRD, both staying at their same spot from a week ago. The biggest debut of the week is Metallica‘s S&M2, their second live album made in conjunction with the San Francisco Symphony, coming over two decades after the original S&M record. S&M2 earned 56,000 equivalent album units during its first week of availability. Katy Perry‘s new album Smile debuts at #5 with 50,000 equivalent album units, with album sales boosted by a variety of merchandise bundles on Perry’s website.

The original Broadway cast recording of Hamilton: An American Musical is at #6, followed by Lil Baby (#7), Rod Wave (#8) and DaBaby (#9). The third Top 10 debut this week is from hip-hop production collective Internet Money and their all-star new release B4 the Storm at #10.
