Taylor Swift has announced her first round of tour dates in support of her latest album, Lover, though they won’t happen until next year. Along with eight concerts overseas, Swift announced her “Lover Fest West” and “Lover Fest East” festivals. In a tweet this morning, the Pop superstar wrote, “The Lover album is open fields, sunsets, + SUMMER. I want to perform it in a way that feels authentic. I want to go to some places I haven’t been and play festivals. Where we didn’t have festivals, we made some. Introducing, Lover Fest East + West!”
According to a press release, the two festivals are her only planned U.S. concerts in 2020, though it does add “additional dates coming soon!”
“Lover Fest West” will take place July 25 and 26 in Los Angeles’ new SoFi Stadium, which will be the home of the Rams and Chargers. This makes Swift the first woman in history to open an NFL stadium. “Lover Fest East” will be held at the New England Patriots‘ home, Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA, on July 31 and August 1. Opening artists for the festival dates will be announced soon.
