SummitMedia has announced Mike Hogan as the new President and General Manager to oversee operations in the Omaha, Nebraska Cluster.
Hogan brings more than 25 years’ experience in management, sales, and marketing, which positions him to achieve results for Summit’s Omaha team and regional clients. Most recently, he oversaw clusters in Sioux City, Iowa, and Ogallala, Nebraska. He served there for more than a decade, developing key partnerships with clients, growing revenue, building relationships within the business community, and executing plans to drive sales growth.
“We’re excited to have an executive of Mike’s caliber running our Omaha cluster,” said Summit Chairman and CEO Carl Parmer. He brings incredible experience, expertise, and leadership to our team.”
Hogan is no stranger to Omaha. From 1999 to 2008, he led sales and managed accounts for Journal Broadcasting, former operators in the region. He was awarded the company’s Trailblazer, Excellence in Sales, and Gold and Silver Sales Awards during his tenure.
“The privilege to return to where my radio career began over 30 years ago is quite an honor,” Hogan said. “I look forward to leading the talented team at SummitMedia in Omaha as we develop even stronger relationships with our listeners, clients, and the communities we serve.”
Hogan says he learned many of his leadership skills as a professional square dance caller, which he began at 13. In the last 21 years, he has developed leadership skills, time management, contract negotiations, stage presence, and public speaking skills by holding national leadership roles and conducting seminars at dozens of national conventions and state organizations.
