SummitMedia announced today that J’Michael Francois is the new Vice President of Programming for R&B and Gospel.
Francois comes to SummitMedia from Cumulus Media, where he served as operations manager and multi-station program director for the Baton Rouge and New Orleans, La. clusters for 18 years. During his time there, he succeeded in leading KQXL-FM to the market’s number one Urban AC and WEMX-FM to the market’s number one Urban Mainstream. He also programmed the cluster’s legendary number-one Gospel radio station, WXOK-AM. In this new role, he will oversee these stations: WAGG (610AM)/Birmingham, WBHK (98.7 Kiss)/Birmingham, WJMZ (107.3 JAMZ)/Greenville and WRKS (103.9 The Groove)/Louisville
