The delayed 2020 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction special will feature an all-star roster of artists celebrating this year’s inductees. Specific guests have not been paired up with the Class of 2020 to induct them into the Hall, but a variety of musicians are set to appear and speak during the special.
Announced guests for the special include Bruce Springsteen, Dave Grohl, Ringo Starr, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Miley Cyrus, Gwen Stefani, Iggy Pop, Alicia Keys, Adam Levin, Chris Martin, Lin-Manuel Miranda, St. Vincent, Charlize Theron, Don Henley and more. Grohl will kick off the show with “a heartfelt introduction” to this year’s class, according to a press release, while the other guests “will speak further on how the 2020 Inductees impacted their personal and professional careers.”
The Rock Hall Class of 2020 is Depeche Mode, Whitney Houston, Nine Inch Nails, The Notorious B.I.G., The Doobie Brothers and T. Rex. Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau and long-time music industry manager Irvin Azoff will both receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
“We’re honored to come together with this distinguished group of musicians and artists to celebrate our 2020 class of Inductees,” said Joel Peresman, President/CEO of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. “While this year’s program will be different than those of years past, we look forward to recognizing their impact on the industry, their fans and the next generation of artists.”
The 2020 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will air November 7 on HBO and stream via HBO Max.
