The first round of presenters and performers have been set for the 2021 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony later this month. According to today’s announcements, Angela Bassett will be inducting Tina Turner, with performances from Christina Aguilera, Mickey Guyton, H.E.R. and Bryan Adams. Taylor Swift will be inducting Carole King, with performances of King’s music by Swift and Jennifer Hudson. Drew Barrymore will induct The Go-Go’s. Paul McCartney will be inducting the Foo Fighters. Additionally, Lionel Richie is inducting Clarence Avant for the Ahmet Ertegun Award. More performers and presenters will be announced soon for the other inductees.
The Class of 2021 for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is made up of Tina Turner, Carole King, The Go-Go’s, Jay-Z, Foo Fighters and Todd Rundgren. Kraftwerk, Charley Patton and Gil Scott-Heron will be honored for Early Influence, while LL Cool J, Billy Preston and Randy Rhoads will be inducted for Musical Excellence Clarence and Avant for the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
The induction ceremony will take place on October 30 in Cleveland at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
