Rock Hall of Famers the Red Hot Chili Peppers debut at #1 on this week’s Billboard 200 with Unlimited Love, their 12th studio album. Luminate, formerly MRC Data, reports that Unlimited Love earned 97,500 equivalent album units. It is the band’s first #1 release since 2006’s double-album Stadium Arcadium. Unlimited Love was also released in a number of special editions and different colored vinyl LP variants, with 38,500 copies sold on vinyl, giving it the largest week for a vinyl record in 2022.

Lil Durk is at #2 on the Billboard 200 with 7220, followed by the Encanto soundtrack at #3, Morgan Wallen‘s Dangerous: The Double Album at #4 and Sour from Olivia Rodrigo at #5. The Weeknd‘s hits collection The Highlights is at #6. Moving up from #69 all the way to #7 is Yeat‘s 2 Alive, following a deluxe reissue. Drake is at #8 with last week’s #1 album, Mainstream Sellout from Machine Gun Kelly, falling to #9. The top 10 is rounded out by Doja Cat‘s Planet Her.
