Carolyn Williams

Carolyn Williams has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Marketing, RCA Records, it was announced today.  Williams was previously Senior Vice President, Marketing, RCA Records and will continue to remain in the New York headquarters.

In this expanded role, Williams will be responsible for overseeing the marketing staff as well as continue to lead marketing campaigns for BROCKHAMPTON, Childish Gambino, H.E.R., SZA and more.

As SVP, Marketing, RCA Records, Williams spearheaded the label’s urban marketing division. She also led campaigns for Grammy Award-winning artists including Chris Brown, D’Angelo and Alicia Keys, as well as A$AP Rocky, WizKid, and the soundtracks for HBO’s Insecure.

Prior to her SVP appointment, Williams began her major label experience at the inception of J Records where she crafted lifestyle marketing campaigns for the likes of Grammy-nominated Jazmine Sullivan, Busta Rhymes, Rhymefest, Monica, Mario, Fantasia and more. Prior to that, she held various positions at Soul Brother Records, Penalty Records and Tommy Boy Records.
