The Rolling Stones have postponed their 2019 North American “No Filter” tour, as Mick Jagger will be dealing with an undisclosed medical condition. The 17 postponed shows were slated to begin in Miami on April 20. “Mick Jagger has been advised by doctors that he cannot go on tour at this time as he needs medical treatment,” the band’s publicist said in a statement. “The doctors have advised Mick that he is expected to make a complete recovery so that he can get back on stage as soon as possible.” Jagger added, “I hate letting our fans down and I’m hugely disappointed to have to postpone the tour but am looking forward to getting back on stage as soon as I can.” On Twitter, Keith Richards said, “A big disappointment for everyone but things need to be taken care of and we will see you soon. Mick, we are always there for you!”
Rapper Nipsey Hussle (real name: Ermias Davidson Asghedom) was killed on Sunday after being shot in front of his own Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles. After multiple mixtapes, he had recently released his first major label album, Victory Lap, which was nominated for Best Rap Album at the Grammys. Nipsey was also known for his attempts to build up his community in L.A., buying up real estate around his clothing store and rebuilding basketball courts. He was just 33 years old and leaves behind two children.
Khalid has announced his “Khalid Free Spirit World Tour,” ahead of the release of his new album Free Spirit, which lands this Friday, April 5. The North American leg of the trek will visit arenas across the U.S. and Canada starting June 20 in Phoenix and running up to August 17 in Miami.
Pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen will release a new album titled Dedicated on May 17. She also announced the Dedicated Tour of North America, which kicks off June 27 in Anaheim and runs up to August 10 in Los Angeles.
