Beyoncé will reportedly perform at the 2017 Grammy Awards later this month. Entertainment Tonight reports that the Pop superstar was spotted rehearsing yesterday in Los Angeles but no official announcement has been made yet. In other Grammy performer news, Dave Grohl will not be teaming up with A Tribe Called Quest and Anderson .Paak as previously announced. The Recording Academy released a statement saying the announcement of Grohl’s involvement was “made prematurely.” It is unknown if Grohl will be involved with the awards show at all. The Grammys will be handed out February 12 on CBS.
At a press conference today, Lady Gaga previewed her upcoming Super Bowl halftime show. Rolling Stone reports that the Pop singer described the performance as “tremendously athletic” and will celebrate inclusion and “the spirit of equality.” She also confirmed that Tony Bennett will make a cameo as part of her halftime show. Gaga is expected to announce a 2017 tour on Sunday following her performance. Super Bowl LI takes place this Sunday, February 5.
An all-star benefit concert for the ACLU has been announced for Los Angeles in April 3. Organized by Zedd, the initial lineup also includes Imagine Dragons, Incubus, Halsey, Daya, Skrillex, Macklemore and Tinnshe, with more artists to be added. The event is set for April 3 at the Staples Center in L.A.
Drummer Zac Farro has rejoined Paramore, after exiting the group nearly seven years ago. Farro and his brother Josh left Paramore back in 2010 but yesterday the band posted an announcement simply saying that “Zac’s Back.”
