The Decemberists have revealed the lineup for the band’s Travelers’ Rest festival this summer. Slated for August 4 and 5, Death Cab for Cutie, Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, Mavis Staples and Tune-Yards are among the acts on the bill. The Decemberists themselves will headline both nights. Travelers’ Rest will be held at Big Sky Brewing Co Ampitheater in Missoula, MT.
Veteran rockers Shinedown will put out their sixth album ATTENTION ATTENTION on May 4 through Atlantic Records. Lead single “DEVIL” and its accompanying video arrived today. Shinedown have an extensive tour of North America slated that begins with two nights in Deadwood, SD on March 23 & 24 and wraps up in Wantagh, NY on September 2.
Singer-songwriter Neko Case will release her newest album, Hell-On, via Anti- this June 1. The record was produced by Case, with Bjorn Yttling of Peter Bjorn & John co-producing 6 tracks with her. Hell-On features appearances from Beth Ditto, Mark Lanegan, k.d. Lang, AC Newman and many other artists. Case will hit the road starting in Boise on May 28 touring with Ray LaMontagne.
The Cranberries have announced they will release their final music recorded with singer Dolores O’Riordan, who passed away earlier this year. In a statement on their official website, the band said they’ll “be completing the recording of a new studio album as previously announced, which we also started last year and for which Dolores had already recorded the vocals. All going well we hope to have this new album finished and out early next year.” Additionally, a deluxe 25th anniversary edition of their debut Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We? will be out later this year. It had been slated for release sooner but was put on hold following O’Riordan’s passing.
