The Chainsmokers have revealed the track list for their upcoming full-length album Memories… Do Not Open. Singer Emily Warren, who appears on their hit “Paris” and has co-written with the duo in the past. Florida-Georgia Line and Jhene Aiko appear on the record as well, along with their Coldplay collaboration “Something Just Like This.” Over the weekend it was announced that The Chainsmokers will be the musical guest on the next new episode of Saturday Night Live on April 8.
Billboard reports that Pitbull will be honored as the first-ever Global Ambassador Award at the 48th annual Songwriters Hall of Fame induction and awards ceremony this spring. “Pitbull’s success, creativity, tireless musical collaboration and his wide-ranging social activism make him the ideal songwriter-performer to initiate the SHOF Global Ambassador Award,” Hall of Fame co-chairs Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff and President/CEO Linda Moran, said in a statement. The ceremony is set for June 15.
The Ohana Music Festival has been announced for September 8-10 in Dana Point, CA. The beach-based festival lineup is led by surfers Eddie Vedder and Jack Johnson, with Social Distortion, Pixies, Haim, Fiona Apple, Ray Lamontagne and many other acts on board.
In other festival news, the Arroyo Seco Weekend in Pasadena has been announced for June 24 and 25. The eclectic lineup features Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Mumford & Sons, Weezer, The Shins, Alabama Shakes, Dawes, and surprisingly, actor Jeff Goldblum and his jazz band The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra.
Feist will release Pleasure, her first new album since 2001, on April 28. The singer-songwriter has announced a number of festival appearances in North America and Europe this spring and summer.
