The opening acts for Guns N’ Roses’ upcoming summer stadium tour have been revealed. Alice In Chains will open the first five dates of the tour, including GNR’s two-night stand at Soldier Field in Chicago on July 1 and 3. Lenny Kravitz will open four shows in July: two at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA and two at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. Openers for the rest of the tour have yet to be revealed.
Rage Against The Machine is counting down to some sort of announcement on June 1. A new website, prophetsofrage.com, along with the hashtag #takethepowerback, were both tweeted out on Tuesday. The same artwork, URL and hashtags have appeared on posters around Los Angeles as well. “Prophets of Rage” is the title of a Public Enemy song, while “Take The Power Back” is a song from Rage’s first record. Speculation is that the two acts will be touring together, though Rage haven’t played live since 2011.
