It appears the much-anticipated return of Lorde will begin this Friday. A new TV ad ran in the singer’s home country of New Zealand over the weekend, teasing a clip of music while showing Lorde sitting in a car. It ends with “3.2.17 NYC,” presumably setting up some sort of announcement in New York this Friday, along with the arrival of her new single. Her social media was also updated today with new images and a link to a currently blank website www.imwaitingforit.com.The headliners have been revealed for this year’s Pitchfork Music Festival, set for July 14-16 in Chicago. A Tribe Called Quest, Solange Knowles and LCD Soundsytem are the headliners for the annual festival. A number of events celebrating the arts will also happen around the festival in collaboration with Solange’s label and arts platform Saint Heron.
Veteran rockers Soundgarden have announced a North American tour this April and May. The trek mixes in a number of previously announced festival appearances with their own headlining dates. The band is also reportedly working on a follow-up to their 2012 comeback album King Animal.
