Nickelodon‘s 2018 Kids’ Choice Awards were handed out Saturday night. The annual awards show, hosted this year by John Cena, honored Fifth Harmony as Favorite Music Group. Shawn Mendes was named Favorite Male Artist and Demi Lovato was named Favorite Female Artist. Ed Sheeran‘s “Shape of You” won for Favorite Song and Camila Cabello won as the Favorite Breakout Artist of the year. Favorite Global Music Star went to BTS.
Halsey will head around the globe on her Hopeless Fountain Kingdom world tour. The “Final Installment” of the trek will visit Australia and New Zealand for six shows in April, then Latin America for five dates in June. The North American leg begins in Montreal on July 8 and runs up to August 3 in Honolulu. Halsey will then play five dates in Asia in early August before wrapping the entire trek up September 22 with a one-off date in London.
Canada’s Juno Awards were handed out over the weekend, with Arcade Fire‘s Everything Now name Album of the Year. Shawn Mendes won twice, for the Juno Fan Choice Award and Single of the Year for his hit “There’s Nothin’ Holding Me Back.” Kendrick Lamar won International Album of the Year with DAMN. while the late Gord Downie of The Tragically Hip was named Artist of the Year. Downie won two other Junos as well.
Rise Against have announced their Mourning In Amerika tour with AFI and Anti-Flag opening up all headlining dates. The Chicago rockers have a handful of other appearances along the tour route as well, which begins at the ’77 Montreal Festival in Montreal on July 27 and runs up to September 30 in Irvine, CA.
3 Doors Down and Collective Soul, with special guest Soul Asylum, will head out on the Rock & Roll Express Tour this summer. The Rock bands will criss-cross North America, starting in Atlanta on July 6 and winding up in Phoenix on September 16.
