Avenged Sevenfold and Alice In Chains will top the lineup for the first-ever Houston Open Air festival, held on September 24 and 25 at NRG Park in Houston. The lineup also will feature performances from Deftones, Slayer, Chevelle, The Cult, Ministry, Alter Bridge, Ghost, Anthrax, Pierce The Veil, Of Mice & Men, Sevendust, Baroness, Hellyeah, Chevy Metal, Buckcherry, and many more on three stages.

The Temper Trap‘s third studio album, Thick As Thieves, is set for release on June 10 via Glassnote Records. Now, the band has revealed plans for an extensive North American tour in September and October following a series of select album release shows in June. The fall tour runs from September 19 in Portland to October 19 in San Francisco.

The High Elevation Rock Festival will make its debut on Saturday, September 10 at the Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in the Denver area. High Elevation Rock Festival will feature 11 hours of music on two stages, with performances from Avenged Sevenfold, Volbeat, Chevelle, Pierce The Veil, Ministry, Killswitch Engage, Animals As Leaders, Sevendust, Texas Hippie Coalition, The Amity Affliction, Neck Deep, Shaman’s Harvest, Twelve Foot Ninja, and Lola Black.

The Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival will take place in Franklin, TN on September 24 and 25, with Beck, Kacey Musgraves, Violent Femmes, The Arcs and Cake serving as some of the top headliners. Other artists on the bill include City and Colour, Shakey Graves, Langhorne Slim, Wild Belle, Better Than Ezra, and The Struts.

Legacy Recordings will offer Lou Reed – The RCA & Arista Album Collection, on October 7. The box set library of music was recorded by the iconic musician from 1972 to 1986. Each of the 16 albums (Lou Reed Live Take No Prisoners, from November 1978, fills two CDs) in the 17-CD collection was newly remastered under Reed’s direct supervision, a long-term project completed shortly before his passing on October 27, 2013.
