Foster the People has announced that its forthcoming third album, Sacred Hearts Club, will be released on July 21 via Columbia Records. The group recently released a three-song EP featuring new songs that will appear on Sacred Hearts Club. Foster the People will hit the road later this year in support of the album, starting with KNRK/Portland, OR’s “Best Show Ever” on September 2, with dates announced up to their appearance as part of the Austin City Limits festival in October.
The lineup for the 2017 edition of Farm Aid has been announced. The annual concert always is led by Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews and this year those artists will be joined by Sheryl Crow, Jack Johnson and The Avett Brothers, along with other acts. Farm Aid is set for September 16 at the KeyBank Pavilion in Burgettstown, PA, near Pittsburgh.
Queens of the Stone Age are teasing their new album, expected out later in 2017. The band has released a mysterious video as well as an updated “interactive TV” on their website that may be revealing the song titles for the new songs.
Tegan and Sara will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the album The Con with a fall 2017 tour, featuring acoustic arrangements of the songs from the record. The Con X Tour kicks off in San Diego on October 20 and runs up to November 15 in Austin, TX. The sisterly duo will be playing a number of North American festival dates throughout the summer.
