SiriusXM announced today that Fleetwood Mac will launch an exclusive, limited-run SiriusXM channel, The Fleetwood Mac Channel, on Thursday, February 1. It will showcase music from Fleetwood Mac’s extensive Rock & Roll Hall of Fame career, including their indelible hits, solo material, live songs, rare demo tracks and musical influences. The channel will also include exclusive stories and insights from Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie, plus special hosted shows by band members.
“Fleetwood Mac’s body of work is so large and their music so unforgettable that we are thrilled to celebrate their music with their own exclusive SiriusXM channel,” said Scott Greenstein, President/Chief Content Officer of SiriusXM. “For our subscribers it will be a fresh sounding and relevant presentation of their music, including special hosted shows from members of the band. The programming will deliver to our subscribers the band’s hit singles, favorite artist influences, and their solo works too. For several generations, this will be a must-listen for fans of Fleetwood Mac.”
The Fleetwood Mac Channel kicks off on Thursday, February 1 at 12:00 pm ET, via satellite on channel 4, and through the SiriusXM app on smartphones and other connected devices, as well as online at siriusxm.com.
An eclectic all-star lineup of artists, musicians, actors and comedians will take the stage as presenters at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards this Sunday night. This year’s presenters include Tony Bennett, Dave Chappelle, Kelly Clarkson, Victor Cruz, Eve, Jim Gaffigan, Katie Holmes, Nick Jonas, Anna Kendrick, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Shemar Moore, Trevor Noah, Sarah Silverman, Hailee Steinfeld and Donnie Wahlberg. The Grammys will be handed out this Sunday, January 28 on CBS.
Linkin Park‘s Mike Shinoda has released a solo EP, titled Post Traumatic, which is his first new music since the death of LP singer Chester Bennington last year. Shinoda tells Rolling Stone, “The past six months have been a rollercoaster. Amidst the chaos, I’ve started to feel an intense gratitude – for your tributes and messages of support, for the career you have allowed me to have, and for the simple opportunity to create. Today, I’m sharing three songs I wrote and produced, with visuals that I filmed, painted, and edited myself. At its core, grief is a personal, intimate experience. As such, this is not Linkin Park, nor is it Fort Minor – it’s just me. Art has always been the place I go when I need to sort through the complexity and confusion of the road ahead. I don’t know where this path goes, but I’m grateful I get to share it with you.”
