Fifth Harmony has announced an indefinite hiatus so its members can pursue solo endeavors outside the group. In a statement released Monday morning, the members said, “After six years going hard, non-stop, we also realized that in order to stay authentic to ourselves and to you, we do need to take some time for now to go on a hiatus from Fifth Harmony in order to pursue solo endeavors.” They added, “We are all very excited and grateful to be able to take this time to learn and grow creatively and really find our footing as individuals. In doing this we are allowing ourselves to gain new experiences, strengths and perspectives that we can bring back to our Fifth Harmony family.” Camila Cabello famously left Fifth Harmony in 2016 to go solo but the group carried on with four members for their self-titled 2017 release. Remaining members Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui had all made individual appearances on other artists’ tracks last year, with Kordei appearing on Dancing With the Stars as well.
