Ed Sheeran has injured his right arm in a bike accident in London. Sheeran posted a photo on Instagram of his arm in a cast with the caption “I’ve had a bit of a bicycle accident and I’m currently waiting on some medical advice, which may affect some of my upcoming shows. Please stay tuned for further news.” Sheeran’s world tour is currently slated to resume on October 22 in Taipei.
Sia‘s holiday album Everyday is Christmas has a release date of November 17. The record is made up of 10 original tunes co-written by Sia and Greg Kurstin. The lead single is titled “Santa’s Coming for Us.”
The RIAA has honored The Weeknd for the success of his album Starboy (XO/Republic Records) as well as the artist’s prolific career notching 11 Platinum or multi-Platinum certified songs during the last five years. The Weeknd is the only artist to earn a 2X multi-Platinum album released in the last year that also includes four Platinum (or higher) songs. The “Starboy” single is 5X multi-Platinum, “I Feel It Coming” 2X multi-Platinum and “Party Monster” and “Reminder are both Platinum.
Elvis Costello has announced a 6-night stand in Las Vegas, titled “NOW/NOT NOW.” The veteran musician will play the intimate Encore Theater six times between February 28 and March 10 and promises a mix of new songs, hits and other tunes from his expansive catalog.
