The lineup for Houston’s Day for Night festival has been revealed, with Nine Inch Nails and a solo performance from Thom Yorke of Radiohead topping the bill. Also on-board for the December festival are St. Vincent, Phantogram, Jamie xx, Justice, Tyler the Creator, James Blake and many more. Day for Night runs from December 15-17. Elle King and Ingrid Michaelson will be a part of an eclectic, all-star cast in a live musical performance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in L.A. Based on the classic 1971 Gene Wilder film, King will play Veruca Salt while Michaelson will portray Mrs. Bucket. Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory In Concert at the Hollywood Bowl: A Live-to-Film Celebration also stars John Stamos as Willy Wonka, “Weird Al” Yankovic as all of the Oompa Loompas, Finn Wolfhard of Stranger Things and It as Charlie Bucket, plus Giancarlo Esposito as the Candy Man and Richard Kind as Grandpa Joe.
A new Bob Dylan box set is on the way this fall. Bob Dylan – Trouble No More – The Bootleg Series Vol. 13 / 1979-1981 arrives November 3 and includes 8 CDs and a DVD covering this chapter in his career, compiling 100 previously unreleased live and studio recordings including 14 unreleased songs. In related news, Dylan is also on the cover of the final print edition of the long-running New York paper The Village Voice, which is on sale this week.
