Cardi B has dropped off her upcoming tour alongside Bruno Mars. In a social media post, she wrote, “I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that 6 weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically. I also thought that I’d be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing.” She added that she is not ready physically for a tour and that her doctors explained it would not be good for the baby to go on the road.
Mars wrote in his own post to Cardi that “Most important thing is you and your family’ health. I know the fans will understand. You are absolutely doing the right thing.” He added that he and his band will play her hit “Bodak Yellow” every night for her. The tour begins in Denver on September 7.
Elvis Costello & The Imposters will release Look Now on October 12 via Concord Records. It is Costello’s first new album since Wise Up Ghost, his 2013 collaboration with The Roots, and his first album with his band The Imposters in a decade. Costello also collaborated once again with Burt Bacharach on a few tracks on Look Now. Lead single “Unwanted Number” arrived at radio on Thursday with another track, “Under Lime,” online today as well.
Fall Out Boy will release a vinyl box set of their seven studio albums, simply titled The Complete Studio Albums, on September 28. The Complete Studio Albums will be made available in two versions — a standard edition on 180-gram black vinyl, and as a limited-edition, 180-gram clear vinyl collection.
