Country star Jason Aldean tops this week’s Billboard 200 chart, as his newest album Rearview Town became his fourth straight record to hit #1. Rearview Town earned 183,000 equivalent album units with 162,000 in traditional album sales. This gives Aldean the biggest week for a Country artist so far in 2018. Cardi B‘s Invasion of Privacy slips to #2. Rockers Breaking Benjamin debuts at #3 with Ember while The Greatest Showman soundtrack stays at #4. Veteran singer-songwriter John Prine earns the highest charting album of his career with The Tree of Forgiveness at #5. At #6 is The Weeknd, with XXXTENTACION at #7, Migos at #8 and Black Panther: The Album at #9. The top ten is rounded out by Pentatonix‘s newest covers record PTX Presents: Top Pop, Vol. 1.
Janelle Monáe has announced a North American tour in support of her upcoming album Dirty Computer. The trek begins in Seattle on June 11 and runs up to August 4 in Atlanta. Dirty Computer will be released this Friday, April 27.
CHVRCHES have set a new run of North American tour dates this fall, supporting their third record Love is Dead. The tour dates begin in San Diego on September 20 and wrap up on October 20 in Boston. The Scottish trio will play a number of previously-announced festivals, headlining shows and overseas dates throughout the spring and summer. Love is Dead will be released on May 25.
Garbage have added a North American leg of dates to their tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their Grammy-nominated sophomore record Version 2.0. The tour starts in Seattle on September 29 and winds up in Brooklyn on October 27. The deluxe anniversary edition of Version 2.0 will be out on June 22.
