Alessia Cara will be honored at Billboard’s Women in Music event with its “Rule Breaker” award. The Pop singer is being celebrated as “a boundary-pushing female music star whose approach defies the conventional,” according to Billboard. The Women in Music event will take place on December 9 in New York City and air on Lifetime on December 12.
A new promo for Lady Gaga‘s Super Bowl LI Halftime Show has debuted, along with a contest for her fans to join her for the performance. Pepsi is running a contest for “Little Monsters” to share a video online showing why they are Gaga’s biggest fans, with a grand prize of watching her halftime performance in person this February. Super Bowl LI will happen in Houston on February 5, 2017.
Dead & Company will hit the road again in 2017, with John Mayer touring alongside three members of the Grateful Dead and their friends. The tour begins in Las Vegas on May 27 and runs up to a two-night stand at Chicago’s Wrigley Field on June 30 and July 1. The tour includes two night appearances in Mountain View, CA (6/3-4) and Boston at Fenway Park (7/17-18) as well. Mayer is expected to release a new solo album in early 2017 too.
