If you were running for political office,
who in the industry would be your campaign manager and why?

R Dub! Z90: Tie: Mark Medina, Z100-New York and Tim Richards from KZON-Phoenix. Mark writes some of the best, creative promos I’ve ever heard; no doubt he’d write some great radio spots for my campaign! And Tim knows all my skeletons and could advise me on how best to hide them!

Eric Chase, WVKS: Tommy Nappi. No better strategist in the game than him.

Matt “MJ” Johnson, KUDD: The TENACIOUS Jon Borris!

Sassy, WKXJ: It would definitely be a record label person. Because even if what I was saying wasn’t good, they would insist to the media that I was just getting started and all I needed was 100 more spins

Big Rob, KSME: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson! Because when the Rock talks, people listen. If you smeeeellll what the Rock is cookin!

Jon Zellner, iHeartMedia: Joel Denver, he can talk to three people at once while typing an email, posting on social media and ordering lunch for the whole office.

Jeff Hurley, iHeartMedia: Scooter Braun.  He understands how to leverage personal brands on an international scale better than almost anyone in the business.

Rozy Myzal, hardDrive: I would NEVER do that, but I would be someone’s campaign manager.

Kobi, WNRW/WLGX: John Ivey. No explanation needed.

Otis, WDJX: Never met him, but I’d pick Bubba The Love Sponge, because I just can’t possibly see anything going wrong with him at political rallies. Seriously though….how much publicity/hilarity would that dude draw?

Toby Knapp, WIHT: Charlie Walk. No question. Joe Daddio for Chief of Staff when We win. Because they don’t want us to win which is why we will. Holy Key.

Albie Dee, WOCQ: Jerry Clifton …Gorilla Tactics!

Jason Reed, WAEZ: Lee Leipsner for sure. Dude can get anything done.

Jared Banks, KUDD: Whoever is running Hillary‘s campaign or Trump’s. Because those two crooks have America convinced they are saints. One is a felon. The other a habitual liar. If they can do that with those two s-bags then I would come out looking like Mother Teresa!

Kobe, WWHT: Erik Olesen from Crush. He is RELENTLESS, and I know he’d not only push me, he’d push for me as well.

Steve Mills, Midwest Communications: That would be Kevin LeGrett. While Kevin is the Market President for L.A., he was once my SVP of Operations and was real good with making sure things happened and that he always remembered your name.

Gina Gray, WERO: Vicki Leben. She knows her %$#!

Mike Miller, WHKF: Bobbi Silver because she always gets shit done, period!
Tommy Chuck, WIHT: Toby Knapp, no doubt about it! He has that inner…well, you know.

Derrick Cole, WLAN: Elvis Duran! Everyone always ends up loving him, even when they hated him in the beginning. I’ve seen it happen at my station here.

Brian Michel, iHeartMedia/Atlanta: Clay Hunnicut, there is no one more detail oriented and quick to respond.

Mike “OD” O’Donnell, WKRZ: Joe Rainey because he never accepts “no” for an answer. He has a counter response for every reason why I shouldn’t add one of his records.

Chris Michaels, FM 100: My marketing director Cindy DeBardelaben because I know she would get my name out there and promote like nobody else.

Jason Squires, KFRR: Garrett Capone – he’s a man of the people, for the people, from the people.

Scary Terry, WOZZ: Without a doubt, it would be Dan O’Day! I have learned so much about effective and persuasive communication from attending his seminars, and consuming his printed and recorded material. Plus, we can kick back and listen to old Gary Burbank tapes for laughs in between campaign stops.

Next Week’s Question Of The Week:
