Who makes your list as the Top 3 Pop artists of all-time, and which Pop artists of this decade are heading in that direction?
Kobe, WWHT: Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Elvis Presley. From this decade: Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, and if he maintains his current successful track record Post Malone.
Valentine, WBHT: Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna. Currently I think Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift are heading that way. Jon Zellner, iHeartMedia: All Time: The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson. This decade: Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Rihanna.
Orlando, WLLD: All Time: Michael Jackson, Madonna and Beyonce. On their way, Bruno Mars, if it’s about hit records. If it’s about presence and shine, it would have to be Beyonce. |
Jonathan Reed, WNOK: Michael Jackson.. The Beatles…. Mariah Carey. Yeah… I know about Madonna and Elton John. Top 3 Pop Artists now… Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran. Bartel, WKTU: Madonna, Michael Jackson, Prince. This Decade: Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake and Ed Sheeran.
Matt Johnson, KSLZ: All time: The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Madonna. This decade: Taylor Swift, Adele, Katy Perry. Rick Vaughn, KENZ: Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Madonna. Current decade: Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake. Jonathan Shuford, WRVW: Michael Jackson, Madonna, Justin Timberlake, with honorable mentions to The Beatles and Prince. When I think of today’s artists who are successfully bending the genre of the definition of Pop music the first one that comes to mind is Billie Eilish. I also think Post Malone had made quite an impact on Pop music, he certainly has everything going for him. Dom Theodore, Radio Animal Media Strategies: Prince, Michael Jackson, Madonna. Bruno Mars could be a contender.
R Dub! Z90: All Time: MJ, Prince, Madonna. This Decade: Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, Taylor Swift. Jeremy Rice, WBLI: I have to go with five: The Beatles, Elvis, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Madonna. Today: Taylor Swift, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande and Maroon 5. |
Jagger, WKSS/WKCI: All time: Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince. Rihanna, Ed Sheeran, and Taylor Swift are all heading in that direction. Jeff Hurley, WLAN: Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Madonna. Currently, I think Taylor Swift possesses that kind of domestic and global impact. Rob Roberts, Cox Media Group: All-time: Elton John, Michael Jackson, The Beatles. This decade: Ed Sheeran, Drake and Rihanna.
Fish, WKRZ: Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Prince. This decade: Lizzo she has the potential to really change the landscape, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Post Malone, Ariana Grande. Sassy, WKXJ: Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Mariah Carey. Headed there: Ed Sheeran, BTS, Justin Bieber, Post Malone. Bob Patrick, WXLK: Impossible to name just three. All Time: Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey off the top of my head in my lifetime. Calling something Pop has become so subjective over the years. Who might crack the list from this decade? Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Adele. |
