What advice would you give a younger version of yourself?

Jon Zellner, iHeartMedia: Invest your time in relationships with family and closest friends, the most important people in your life matter most. Practice gratitude. Learn to appreciate the present and live in the moment…don’t rush through life. You’re going to learn a lot more from your bad bosses than your good ones. Take mental notes on what NOT to do and remember that arrogance is a sign of insecurity…be humble.

Danny Ocean, WSBG: Be a good listener!! Work hard, play hard. Never stop learning and always network. Relationships are priceless!

Brian Mack, iHeartMedia: Stop trying to control your environment and focus on how you interpret it, specifically minimizing the negative/worst case scenario you tell yourself.

Jonathan Shuford, WRVW: Talk less, listen more, and keep every door open.

Toby Knapp, WASH: Take more time to enjoy the fruits of all your labors. Remember the power of saying no if it means saying yes to your mental and physical health and show yourself some grace. It’s okay to hang up the cape and take a breather because you aren’t a superhero. Be a hero to yourself and those closest to you and take more “you” time to be with them. And believe in yourself even when it’s scary.

Kevin Kash, WMZQ: Persistence is key. Be heard, but also be seen.

Jeff Hurley, iHeartMedia: BUY GOOGLE STOCK! Actually, just buy stock in general. That’s something everybody always feels like they started too late in life.

Matt Johnson, WPLW: Be careful what bridges your torch!

Buster, WIOQ: Do it all over again and/or keep doing what you’re doing!

Derrick Cole, WAEB: You don’t have to eat all the free radio food!

Valentine, WBHT: Don’t waste so much time and energy on the things that are out of your control. Fun fact: still need to remind myself about this every so often.

Erik Bradley, B96: Don’t sweat, you’re on the right track. Everything is going to work out even better than your heart could ever dream.

R Dub!, Z90/Magic 92.5: Buy Tesla, Google and Apple.

Jammer, WEZB: Become a Psychiatrist instead.

Lee Abrams, mediavisions: Be careful with drugs and alcohol.

Randi West, WRMF: I started investing young, but I would tell my younger self to double that number when you are young because compound interest is your friend later in life.

Adam Rivers, WKCI / WKSS: It will all pay off.

Guy Zapoleon, Zapoleon Consulting: Not a lot because I was blessed to make the right moves at 99/100 forks in the road and had wonderful people around me that helped me. In general, find mentors in power positions then do whatever you can to help them. If this is the career you want be early stay late, work weekends, have a positive attitude, help others, and always treat people with kindness and return calls. One of the great truths is you meet the same people on the way up as you do on the way up, so don’t burn bridges.

Mike O’Donnell, WKRZ: Don’t be afraid to take more chances. Risk-taking and failure are part of the learning process.

Dom Theodore, Radio Animal Media Strategies: Don’t worry, it all works out.

Rick Vaughn, KENZ: Be mindful of the bridges you choose to burn.

Bob Patrick, WXLK: No matter what you see on TV, you can’t jump over 14 trash cans on your bike. You are not The Fonz.
