Staying on the lighter side, what is your most favorite movie sequel of all-time, and which one do you wish you could erase from history?

Jordan, KSLZ: Best Godfather II and erase Godfather III. Iron Eagle II was also awful. Heather DeLuca, WSJO: Don’t hate me but my favorite sequel is Grease 2. And it’s a tie for sequels, I’d erase between Speed 2 and Legally Blonde 2. |
Bob Patrick, WXLK: TIE – Rocky II and The Empire Strikes Back. Caddyshack 2 is an affront on human decency and makes me nauseous just thinking about it.
Frankie V, KSSX/KHTS: I am a fan of Next Friday! I’ll watch that on repeat every time it’s on TV. The one I wish we could erase from history is Major League 2!!! It was garbage compared to Major League which is by far my favorite movie of all time! Jonathan Shuford, WRVW: The Empire Strikes Back has to be the greatest sequel ever, with honorable mention to American Pie 2 and Ghostbusters 2. I could’ve done without Home Alone 2. I thought I liked it back in the day, but watching it now I just realized they copied and pasted the exact story of the first movie, but with slightly different characters. It was just totally unnecessary.
Sassy, WKXJ: I’m really into the Marvel sequels. I’ve seen them all a hundred times. The Avengers sequels I like a lot. Bad ones are Spider-Man 3 and Will Ferrell’s Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues was awful after all the super-hype on it. Rod Phillips, iHeartMedia: ANY Rambo sequel was always worth watching, least back then. Runner-up for anything Jason Bourne. The Worst: Home Alone sequels. |
Matt Johnson, KSLZ: BEST: Godfather II. ERASE: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was horrific,but for a truly bad sequel it’d have Independence Day: Resurgence. Bartel, WKTU: The best: The Dark Knight. The worst: Major League 2. Josh Wolff, WAEB: Weekend at Bernie’s II for both!
Buzz Knight, Buzz Knight Media: Best sequel is The Pink Panther 2, nobody better than Steve Martin. Worst. Exorcist II: The Heretic. Ugh total failure. Paul Kelly, WWAC: Two of my favorite comedies of all time are Caddyshack and American Pie. American Pie 2 is my favorite sequel but Caddyshack 2 should have never have been made. The cast made the original a cult classic and the sequel only had ONE cast member from the first film. Awful! |
Mark Adams, KYLD & KIOI: I have too many dozens if not hundreds of favorite movies to rank into any kind of definitive ordering, but. Best sequel? How can you not acknowledge The Godfather part II somewhere highly ranked if not atop that particular list? Honorable mentions to: X2, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, The Road Warrior, The Dark Knight, Aliens, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Empire Strikes Back, Blade II, Toy Story 2, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Spiderman 2, Superman 2, Desperado, Batman Returns, Evil Dead 2, and even Lethal Weapon 2. As for the worst? That could be an equally long and infamous list, but I’ll go with Highlander 2: The Quickening. As it turns out, there can be only one.

Alex Tear, SiriusXM / Pandora: One at the top for me is Tron Legacy. Tron came out in 1982, Tron Legacy came out twenty-eight years later! The storyline, visuals and Daft Punk electric soundtrack were amazing. In regards to erasing any movie sequel?! That would be a crime! They all have a place to laugh and learn from.
Mike “OD” O’Donnell, WKRZ: I’m a huge fan of the John Wick franchise so I’ll say John Wick Chapter 2 is one of my favorites and Back to the Future Part II was a good one. Ghostbusters 2 sucked and Caddyshack II was one of the worst ones as well.Next Week’s Question Of The Week:
