Oscar season is upon us, what are your top “movie re-watches” of all-time and what makes them so appealing to you?

Jonathan Shuford, WRVW: Setting childhood nostalgia aside (Ghostbusters, Field of Dreams), I’ll go with these. High Fidelity, if you’re a music fan and you hate this movie, you’re not a music fan. It’s the perfect blend of music, love and self-discovery. Plus, where else do you get to see Jack Black perform Marvin Gaye? Remember the Titans, one of the best sports movies of all-time and Denzel is a bad, bad man, plus it’s just a really inspiring story of teamwork and leadership. Schindler’s List, it’s super depressing but I love movies about the WWII era and it’s easy to see why it won so many Oscars back in the day. It’s artful. Happy Gilmore, or really anything Adam Sandler did pre-Eight Crazy Nights. Those first 3 or 4 movies (Billy Madison, Happy, Waterboy) are some of the most quotable comedies of all time. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and don’t you dare judge me. I feel your judgment and just need you to stop it.

Joey Brooks, WKSS: I’ve played hockey my whole life so I need to see Miracle on Ice at least once a year. Happy Gilmore reminds me of my golf game, and Die Hard every year at Christmas time.

Buster Satterfield, WIOQ: Goodfellas, Wolf of Wall Street, Scream.

Heather Deluca, WSJO:
The Wizard of Oz! It’s still mind-boggling that a film that beautiful was made in 1939. Still so magical. Sixteen Candles for the laughs, probably my fave high school movie ever. Saving Private Ryan because I learn something new every time I watch it.

Matt “MJ” Johnson, matthot1079@hotmail.com: Both Moneyball and Any Given Sunday. The themes of having to work thru issues with management, talent, fans, and yourself all seem to apply to my radio life as well. I feel inspired every time I watch these movies. Oh, and The Departed, just because it’s probably one of the greatest films of ALL-TIME!

R Dub! Z90: Oh jeeze, I could fill up a whole page about my favorite movie of all time. While it’s pretty obscure, they actually released it on Amazon last year. The movie is called Martin’s Day (1984) starring Richard Harris and Lindsay Wagner and I may or may not be the owner of martinsday.com. Seriously, this is the greatest movie of all time, and if you watch it, you’ll be in a special club of about 400 people.

Kobe, WZNE: I can re-watch any Marvel movie, just to escape reality for an hour or two. Add Shawshank Redemption and Private Parts to the list!

Max Volume, KOZZ: For some reason I’ve watched Adam Sandler‘s The Waterboy about 20 times! “You can do it!” “Foosball is the devil!”

Rich Davis, KDWB: Forest Gump is such a great movie, and because it was the first movie I watched with my wife way before we got married. Any of the Christmas movies. I can watch National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation every year and never get tired of it. One of my favorites from when I was a lot younger is The Lost Boys. It wasn’t even a big movie but I loved it…it’s one of those place-in-time movies for me. And Miracle on Ice!

Orlando, WLLD: Rudy because the little man, gets to shine after showing incredible heart and Anaconda because Jennifer Lopez was wet for 62% of that movie. Winning!

Rick Vaughn, KENZ: Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Jerry McGuire, The Natural…I only cry during sports movies.

Jon Zellner, iHeartMedia: Top five movies of all-time are: It’s A Wonderful Life, Field of Dreams, That Thing You Do, What’s Up Doc and Apollo 13.

Toby Knapp, WASH: Any Given Sunday – How can you not be fired up by this movie? If you need a shot of motivation, watch it. The Greatest Showman – It is a reminder that while we should pursue our dreams with abandon, you can’t abandon family and those closest to you. Avengers Endgame – Every epic team is made up of epic people who do amazing things. If you’ve ever been a part of a team like this, you know. Steve Jobs – Because the ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world – no matter how imperfect or flawed they may be – are the ones who do. Rocky Balboa – A friend of mine, who is no longer with us, reminded me before he passed that we “always have another fight in us, we always have another comeback” and this movie underscores that idea.

Bartel, WKTU: 42, Invincible and Pay It Forward.

Lee Abrams, MediaVisions: My ten desert island films: Dr. Strangelove, dark comedy at its Cold War best. 2001: A Space Odyssey, the tag line said it all, the ultimate trip. Blazing Saddles, PC be damned, it’s one hilarious film. Goodfellas, love mob films and this is my favorite. Avatar, I like stepping into a Yes album cover. Blues Brothers, goofy early SNL-style comedy, set in my home town. Apocalypse, definitely catches the vibe and transports you there. Field of Dreams, maybe because opening day is coming up. Paths of Glory, early Kubrick, a brilliant and at the time, innovative WWI film. North by Northwest, a touch call among the Hitchcock classics, but I pick this one.

Bob Patrick, WXLK: Rocky I – IV, Caddyshack, Apollo 13, Die Hard.

Brian Mack, WXXL: My fiancée had never seen any of the Rocky franchise so we went through the first four. She liked all of them and they were very enjoyable for me all over again. Jaws is my favorite movie of all-time. I can watch that one over and over and over again. I also love the Shawshank Redemption, just a great movie.

Jana Sutter, WXXL: These days it tends to be any of the Harry Potter films because my daughter loves them and I’m a fan as well. It’s a pretty easy re-watch.

Mike “OD” O’Donnell, WKRZ: I still watch Field of Dreams, love that movie. I can watch Cast Away several times, and No Country for Old Men which is a movie filled with twists which is why I like it so much.

Jammer, WEZB: Bridesmaides, The Hangover, and Vacation (2015).

Josh Wolff, WAEB: A good comedy is always welcome, like Weekend at Bernies, that always gets me every time! It’s lighthearted, you don’t have to think about it, and just unplug from the world.

Java Joel, Javajoelmurphy@gmail.com: Back To The Future, Die Hard, The Godfather (Parts 1 and 2). Great films!

Drew Heyman, WHYI: Dumb and Dumber, Old School, Ace Ventura.

Buzz Knight, Buzz Knight Media: Everything from the Coen Brothers and from Scorsese. Endless treasures.

Mike McVay, McVay Media: My favorite movie to watch on a rainy day is The Burbs with Tom Hanks, Bruce Dern, Carrie Fisher, Rick Ducommun, Corey Feldman, Wendy Schaal, Henry Gibson and Gale Gordon. Little known film, but so well written and acted. It’s an easy to watch and mindless picture. Which is what makes it a regular movie for me.

Chris Michaels, FM100: Howard Stern’s Private Parts comes out for rotation every now and then. No explanation needed for that one! My Cousin Vinny is another classic I love! That movie is so funny from start to finish!

Twisted Todd, WTPT: Ghostbusters was definitely a favorite when I was a kid! I could recite the entire dialogue in the script! And The Empire Strikes Back is my all-time favorite!
