What everyday occurrence in life in general annoys you the most?
R Dub! Z90: I absolutely cringe every time a video blogger says “Hey guys!” Or worse: a radio personality. The first rule we are taught in radio (and entertainment as a whole) is to talk to ONE person…have an intimate one-on-one convo with your target listener. As soon as I hear “Hey guys,” I’m OUT!
Jonathan Reed, WNOK: People trying to get on the elevator before I get off. Rob Roberts, Cumulus Media: People who don’t use the common courtesy of “Please” and “Thank You.” Closely followed by people who build “Please” and “Thank You” into their e-mail template so they don’t have to type it. Sassy, WKXJ: Sleep! Sometimes I wish there was a pill I could take that would allow you to sleep for an hour and still restore my body’s energy. I’m always working on projects and I want to keep working on them and I run out of time, but I get tired and, yes, I have to sleep. Jon Zellner, iHeartMedia: Bad customer service from customer service representatives. Max Volume, KOZZ: Fake people! Jason LaChange, Radio Merced: Talking to my ex-wife. |
Java Joel, WAKS: Arrogance, ego and bad manners!
Jammer, WEZB: People on the Weather Channel that’s say it 40 degrees… obviously, they never worked in radio! Kobi, WNRW/WLGX: Definitely people that can’t drive! Bob Patrick, WXLK: People who park in the fire lane to rent movies from Redbox. Jonathan Shuford, WRVW: People making simple things overly complicated. Also, people who don’t use turn signals. Rick Vaughn, KENZ : Lolligaggers. Slow walkers. The people who decide to stand in the middle of a congested commuting area to decide wtf they are doing. STEP TO THE SIDE, THANK YOU. SLOW WALKERS TO THE RIGHT. In the immortal words of Ludacris: “GET OUT THE WAY!” Matt Talluto, WBYR: Clueless space cadets operating motor vehicles while transfixed on their F&$#ing phones!!! Either swerving in traffic or sitting thru an entire green light while checking social media. Nothing annoys me more! Kevin Kash, WIYY: Has to be when people become oblivious while they are using their cell phones. |
Kobe, WWHT: Just waiting, not waiting for anything specific, just waiting in general. I’m naturally impatient, so if the computer’s slow or I’m waiting in line at a restaurant, or any line for that matter…it’s a real pet peeve.
Valentine, WBHT:When people don’t even attempt to use common sense. This is both personal and professional. Dom Theodore, Radio Animal Media Strategies: Internet issues…makes me crazy. Matt Johnson, KSLZ: I just hate small talk. Let’s get to it…what do you want to talk about? Derrick Cole, WAEB/WZZO: The lack of forks/spoons in the work place! It’s hard to eat spaghetti with a plastic knife. Jeff Hurley, WLAN: Waking up! Chris Michaels, FM100 Do drivers in Memphis count? HA! Jeff Strange, WKHY: When a movie ends and the people in the theater applaud. Is the projector supposed to take a bow? |
Next Week’s Question Of The Week:
