What is something popular that you just don’t get?

Jeremy Rice, WXXL: I’ve naturally taken the alternative route for most of my life, to quote Yogi Berra, “Nobody goes there anymore, it’s too crowded.” I’ve never gotten into Star Wars, I have mad respect for the brand but Star Trek is so much better. Light beers are not my thing, drink a real crafty beer, worried about your calories? Then work out! Khaki pants with a golf shirt look should be made ILLEGAL!

Jammer, WEZB: Country Music.

Drew Heyman, WHYI: Guys getting perms, it’s a thing in Miami now and guys painting their fingernails.

Mike O’Donnell, WKRZ: Selfies. My kids take hundreds of selfies of themselves. I say to them, What are you doing, how many pictures of yourself do you have to take?! I don’t get it, maybe it’s a generational thing.

Chris Michaels, FM100: Socks with sandals are back in style. I don’t get it!

R Dub!, Z90/Magic 92.5: Crocs. They should be illegal.

Bartel, WKTU: People not in the moment at events. Like on their phones at concerts on standing on the dancefloor in a club.

Bob Patrick, WXLK: The amount people pay for a cup of coffee.

Buster, WIOQ: The TV show “Love is Blind.”

Java Joel, WHBC: Noah Kahan. Twizzlers, Joe Biden.

Rich Davis, KDWB: I’ve never been a coffee guy and it’s not that I dislike how it tastes. It’s fine, I just never got into it. I know plenty of people who can’t live without it, but I don’t get it.

Jana Sutter, WXXL: Hoodies in the summertime.

Jonathan Shuford, WRVW: I don’t understand Game of Thrones, never have, never will. Also, Matt Rife, he’s just not funny.

Adam Rivers, WKCI / WKSS: Honestly? Listening to music on a playlist. It’s just so boring for me.

Toby Knapp, WASH: Stanley Mugs. They’re nice and all, but my Buc’ees and HEB oh and Corpus Christi Hook mugs do the same thing just as well for a fraction of the price. Aside from the Hooks mug – they’ve got Minor League price tags.

Danny Ocean, WSBG: Stupid Games on your phone! A huge waste of time!

Lee Abrams, mediavisions: Body piercings.

Brian Mack, iHeartMedia: Oversized tee-shirts over shorts with crocs. Younger trend, I hate it, looks like you rolled out of bed.

Valentine, WBHT: Kardashians and crocs. Hard pass on both.

Matt Johnson, WPLW: Jelly Roll.

Jon Zellner, iHeartMedia: NFTs. If I like a piece of art, I’d rather own the art as opposed to a certificate of authenticity.

Jeff Hurley, iHeartMedia: Never got into the show Succession. Everyone raved about it. I just couldn’t put myself through that much stress.

Rick Vaughn, KENZ: Kardashians.

Erik Bradley, B96: Don’t understand or care about Crypto.

 

Guy Zapoleon, Zapoleon Consulting: Most scripted or reality shows on network television except PBS. I do watch SNL. The quality on Netflix, Max, Apple, Prime, Hulu or cable AMC, FX is so much superior.
