Which two songs (one current or recurrent and one gold) best describe your philosophy on life?
Java Joel, WAKS: “Savage” is obviously my current theme song. Philosophy on life? In the words of Billy Ocean… “When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going”. Mike “OD” O’Donnell, WKRZ: “Don’t Worry Be Happy,” that’s a good philosophy of life! I’d also go with “High Hopes,” have to be positive, things can only get better. Fish, WKRZ: Swedish House Mafia “Don’t You Worry Child” because it’s such a positive message, and Megan Thee Stallion “Savage” because that’s how I feel right now, locked in a cage. Brian Mack, WXXL: No song could encompass anyone entire 360 viewpoint on life, but for the moment…maybe “Southern Man” by Neil Young. Kobe, @kobeontheradio: For me, I’ve always connected with the song “Boo Yah” by Showtek. It’s an EDM banger and gets me hyped like no other song, not so much as a philosophy on life as it is a motivator. Recently the one current that I am vibing is “Say So” by Doja Cat. It’s super fun and positive which is the attitude I try to have the majority of the time. |
Rick Vaughn, KENZ: Surfaces “Sunday’s Best,” that’s a fun song and I’m a fun kind of guy. Shawn Mendes “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back,” kind of always felt that way. JB King, KLUC: Current: Post Malone “Circles.” Recurrent: Maroon 5 “Memories.” Gold: Ed Sheeran “I Don’t Care.” Heather DeLuca, WSJO: Currently, it’s a tie between ‘Daisies’ by Katy Perry and ‘I Just Wanna Shine’ by Fitz & The Tantrums. Love the message of positivity. Which is probably why for Gold I’m going ‘Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)’ by Kelly Clarkson. There’s a theme here, lol Buster Satterfield, Q102: Current: Surfaces “Sunday Best” Gold: Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa “Young, Wild and Free” Randi West, WRMF: “10,000 Hours” (how long I work these days) and “I Don’t Care” Ed Sheeran (self-explanatory). |
Jagger, WKSS: “Adore You” and I would dedicate it to my girlfriend Ginger, and given the vibe out there right now “Wow” by Post Malone. Matt Johnson, KSLZ: Surfaces “Sunday’s Best,” and “Am I Wrong” by the great one-hit wonder, Nico & Vinz. Jon Zellner, iHeartMedia: “Only Human” and “High Hopes.” And I’d say that “Work From Home” is most people’s philosophy now. Alex Tear, SiriusXM/Pandora: “Lovely Day,” Bill Withers and “The Hokey Pokey,” Ray Anthony version. Buzz Knight Media: “Be Kind” by Marshmello & Halsey, and “The Times They Are A Changin’” Bob Dylan. Chris Michaels, FM100: Marshmello & Halsey “Be Kind,” and Lynyrd Skynyrd “Simple Man.” Josh Wolff, WAEB: “Be Kind,” I’ve always tried to respect and be nice to people, The Golden Rule! |
