If you could be an expert at anything in any field what would it be and why?

Toby Knapp, WASH: As much as I’d like to say collaborating with Taylor Swift, I’d have to say law. Specifically entertainment, broadcast, creative and content-creator law. The rules are changing. The distribution platforms are blurred. What we’re creating is not exclusive to voice, video, or even to the written word anymore. You might have an agent — but are they really up to speed with where we’re going TOMORROW as opposed to today? Knowing what I know now, based on forecasts I’ve seen via our union and knowing what I know about the ‘old’ normal Pre-Pandemic, I think there’s an enormous space for those who can help those of us who create in this space… stay safe to continue creating in this space while being fair – and subjectively – compensated.

Java Joel, WAKS: Pre-pandemic, I was pretty well versed in prolonged fasting and the keto diet. Lost a bunch of weight back in 2016. But man- this pandemic makes me want beer and carbs, so… I guess 80s pop music is my sole forte! (Subscribe to my “This Week In The 80s” podcast!).

Mike “OD” O’Donnell, WKRZ: I’ve always been very fascinated by the weather so I would want to be an expert in meteorology. I’m definitely a weather nut! Not a storm chaser. I want to be the guy in the studio so when the storm chaser’s truck gets sucked up into the funnel cloud, I’m the guy saying ‘alright, we have a technical difficulty and we’ll get back to those guys in a little bit.’ Matt Johnson, KSLZ: I’d like to be an expert at statistics so I can use all the data to prove I’m right, regardless of the actual data. Rick Vaughn, KENZ: I have a deep interest in Astrophysics, it’s just mind-blowing to me and I would like to understand it better. I really would like to explore dark matter further than my basic understanding.

Jonathan Shuford, WRVW: Human Psychology. Imagine being able to really understand WHY people act a certain way instead of just knowing what they’re doing and reacting to it. Also, it’d be pretty cool to win a fight with my wife once in a while.
Jammer, WEZB: Would love to be a scientist. It seems like being able to come up with vaccines is the right move nowadays.
