What would your perfect summer vacation entail, and what is your favorite summer movie of all-time?
Buster, WIOQ: Going back to the Florida keys. it was awesome! And, it’s gotta be National Lampoon’s Vacation.
Jonathan Reed, WNOK: Being off the grid and on an island from a private villa with my own private pool for like a week. I don’t really watch too many movies. Kobi, WNRW/WLGX: A week at a tropical island with a see thru floor cabin on the ocean! Dope summer flick are Goonies, Independence Day and Do The Right Thing! Rick Vaughn, KENZ: Catching fish in the mountains. Porky’s was a life-altering for me!
Fish, WKRZ: I love the Jersey shore. The longer I can be in Stone Harbor the more perfect the vacation gets! Independence Day is my movie. Matt Johnson, KSLZ: No phones. Elven servants. Exotic location with great food, dogs are allowed. I don’t know if The Departed was a summer release or not, but I like to watch it during the summer, other seasons too, but also summer. It’s a summer movie to me. Sassy, WKXJ: A week trip to Disney World as a VIP to fast-track through the park. VIP comes with your own chaperone so I would choose Goofy as my chaperone. I honestly think Goofy would be a lot of fun! I don’t know about a movie, but my favorite show I’m currently watching is Stranger Things season 3. It’s the best of all of them. I’ve been binging it over and over again this summer! Kevin Kash, WIYY: Beach, ocean! Then my favorite summer movie has to be Jaws. |
Bob Patrick, WXLK: Going to a week’s worth of Phillies’ games and spending the time in between either in Philly, South Jersey or at the Shore. My favorite Summer movie is Caddyshack.
Jeremy Rice, WBLI: A nice European vacation, but without the crowds, find that cool place, like Keane said “Somewhere Only We Know.” For movie, not sure, I prefer dark movies where there’s lots of snow on the ground, throw in some murder, subtitles, and suspense and we’re good! Toby Knapp, WASH: Anything with family, a couple of close friends, a beach, a firepit and a body of water nearby… and many bottles of Tito’s, Deep Eddy’s and something to mix it with! Movie: Kala Simmons (WASH) – Mama Mia. Chilli Amar (WASH) – Top Gun. Me – Return of the Jedi. Mark Adams, KYLD/KIOI: “Nothing. I would relax…I would sit on my ass all day…I would do nothing.” – Peter Gibbons. The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, duh. Bartel, WKTU: Jersey Shore with cocktail in hand on a boat. The Dark Knight. Kobe, WWHT: Going away somewhere with friends and family for a week and not having to bring my phone. Movie is The Sandlot with Better Off Dead as a close runner-up. Valentine, WBHT: Extended time on a beautiful tropical island, with crystal clear waters, dolphins, and unicorns if there are any. Independence Day. Buzz Knight, Beasley Media Group: Perfect means a great vacation hike to Block Island! It isn’t summer without a rerun of Jaws! |
R Dub! Z90: Leaving the country…to anywhere!!! I’m currently at 130 countries visited…there are 193 nations on the planet! Shameless plug: www.ramblinrandy.com Summer movie? Whatever is playing on the airplane taking me somewhere far away!
Chris K, The End: A summertime baseball trip, go to a bunch of ballparks in a week. Todd Shannon, WAPE: Another immediate trip back to Maui! One Crazy Summer, one of John Cusack’s early, early films, with a very young Demi Moore…summer madness and fun! Jonathan Shuford, WRVW: Anywhere without kids. It’s also my favorite movie of all-time, Ghostbusters. Jon Zellner, iHeartMedia: Hiking somewhere cool like Jackson Hole, North Cascades or any National or State Park. Favorite summer movie has to be Field of Dreams. Rod Phillips, iHeartMedia: Send me to the mountains in the summertime, it’s even better than when it’s snow-packed. Movie is The Great Outdoors. Max Volume, KOZZ: A briefcase full of money. I’ll figure it out after I get it! Summer movie? Ferris Bueller’s Day Off or Caddyshack. Mase, CD1025: Plop me on a beach…any beach, except Myrtle Beach. Favorite movie is a toss-up between The Erotic Adventures Of Hercules and Gladys The Groovy Mule. |
Next Week’s Question Of The Week:
How important is it for programmers when making music choices to make an effort to bridge the gap between airplay/chart driven options and local consumption/metric options?
