What images does the July 4th holiday instantly evoke in your mind?

Jana Sutter, WXXL: My patio! It’s always the day after our summer show Red Hot & Boom. After entertaining 100k people in the Florida heat, with a thunderstorm thrown in for fun, I am all about relaxing at home with friends and family.

Jonathan Shuford, WRVW: Fireworks, beer, and Throwback Weekends on the radio.

Fish, WKRZ: Fireworks, barbeque, and the American flag!

Adam Rivers, WKCI: My love and appreciation for America.

Toby Knapp, WASH: “Stay Strapped or Get Capped,” – George Washington, allegedly in 1776. Fed up with things. “Happy Treason Day Ungrateful Colonials,” – King George III, allegedly in 1776. Tom Cruise in Top Gun (the First), inverted, spreading the great love of America. The First Amendment: Saying, “You’re F*CKING WELCOME” to Americans since 1776.

Jon Zellner, iHeartMedia: The South Orange, NJ fireworks show when I was very young, Red, White and Boom in Kansas City when my kids were young and now, the fireworks show my neighbors put on down the street from me.

Chris Michaels, FM100: Grillin’, and beer!

Bartel. WKTU: The Shore, the beach, on a boat, BBQs.

R Dub, Z90/Magic 92.5: I’m usually traveling somewhere far, far away!

Rich Davis, KDWB: When we lived in Nashville, a friend of ours in our neighborhood literally had the biggest 4th of July party and his fireworks display rivaled some small towns. He was the manager of Mercy Me and we were very close. He would invite a ton of people over and we would swim and ride four-wheelers, and he’d have a synchronized video screen with his massive fireworks.

Matt Johnson, WPLW: Easily fireworks and the flag! I am pro-America!

Elise, WPLW: The beach, the pool fireworks, the American flag, and I always think of war memorials.

Rick Vaughn, KENZ: Fireworks, hamburgers, sprinklers and other backyard water activities like I used to do when I was a kid.

Valentine, WBHT: Fireworks, hot dogs, grillin’, and days of preparation for holiday logs.

Lee Abrams, mediavisions: Baseball, barbeque, and fireworks.

Randi West, WRMF: Stars and stripes, backyards BBQs, and car remotes. LOL

Guy Zapoleon, Zapoleon Consulting: July 4th makes me think of freedom and how blessed we are to live in the United States versus other countries where they live under authoritarian rule and don’t have those freedoms. So these days after recent events it makes me treasure even more the freedoms we do have the ones many of us have always taken for granted and one should never assume we’ll have. As someone said, “freedom isn’t free,” and as I saw recently, 80 million people didn’t vote in 2020. That has to change, elections have consequences and every vote matters.

Josh Wolff, WAEB: Fireworks, hot dogs, spending time with friends and family, and thankful for our freedom.

Erik Bradley, B96: Small town parades, family parties, BBQs, fireworks and patriotism.

Heather Deluca, WSJO: The first public reading of the Declaration of Independence at Independence Hall in Philadelphia. How amazing it must have been to hear those words spoken for the very first time. And, Rocket Popsicles! Lol

Kevin Kash, WWEG: Large gatherings of people that could be (should be) listening to your radio station. Plus, the obligatory fireworks, cookouts, red, white & blue.

Next Week’s Question Of The Week:
If you were to assemble your ultimate summer jam concert, which artists/bands would be on the bill and what beach would host the event?
