What would you like to change in your life personally and/or professionally as you head into 2023?
Rick Vaughn, KENZ: I need to set aside more time for creative writing. It keeps getting pushed to the backburner, and I need to force myself to shut my door and write. R Dub!, Z90/Magic 92.5: I’d like to turn my burrito belly into a six-pack I. 2023, but who are we kiddin’? Big Rob, KKPL/KMAX: Be more in the moment and less on my phone. My whole family needs to work on this. LOL Jonathan Shuford, WRVW: My number one response is always finding a better work/life balance than what I have now. That’s a never-ending journey. Derrick Cole, WAEB: Personally, I want to do a better job of connecting or reconnecting with people, I know life gets in the way but I’m trying to make sure and find time for friends and family more in 2023. Bob Patrick, WXLK: Make more time for family stuff. Jana Sutter, WXXL: To continue to make my health a priority.
Heather Deluca, WSJO: Unequivocally, to become a better planner in both my personal AND professional life. Better at planning out my workday, my writing, management my home. Planning ahead on ALL fronts in 2023 can only serve me well. Dom Theodore, Radio Animal Media Strategies: Not a thing, life’s good! Zac Davis, WMKS: I need to be more patient in all facets. I’ve been learning more patience slowly…. a toddler in the house will help with that. Jeff Hurley, iHeartMedia: I’d like to be more proactive and less reactive in my professional life. JB King, KLUC: Health, happiness and a better balance between work and family. |
Drew Heyman, WHYI: Spend a little more time outside of the office and work on that work/life balance. Adam Rivers, WKCI: Get back into high school shape. Brian Mack, iHeartMedia: Invest more time into my wife…wholeheartedly, unnegotiable with an action plan: date nights every week, one monthly meeting on just the status of our relationship/what we could do to improve it/discussions, engage in understanding the things that make her happy I couldn’t give a shit about (like the Bachelor). Orlando Davis, WLLD: In 2023, I’m hoping to get another 40lbs off of my frame and become more proficient in video production. It interests me and if you’re not learning, you’re lagging. Joey Brooks, WKSS: Working hard to get in really good shape in 2023! Brian Check, iHeartMedia: I’m hoping for no changes in 2023! I’m looking for a year of stability after making career changes and moving from the country to center city Philly. Toby Knapp, WASH: Professionally – I want to continue to do the good work we’ve been doing on the DC AM show, for our markets I’m on for iHeart across the iHeartNation and on Backtrax USA. At the same time, I’m excited about helping to guide the future of our broadcast architecture with a team of straight up geniuses who are building something so incredible for live – and I mean LIVE not TRACKED – content creation aka radio it will blow your mind when it launches fully. Personally? It’s time to get married. Get a house. And settle the eff down. Not saying to hang up my “cape” but… it’s time for me to take care of some “me” stuff for a change. Fish, WKRZ: Priorities need to be refocused on certain things and philosophies in our business. You have to focus back again on localization and block out the outside noise. |
Mike O’Donnell, WKRZ: Personally, I want to get fit, and professionally I want to get my brands back out on the street again. Valentine, WBHT: To continue to grow in positive ways both professionally and personally, and to focus on my fitness and health and getting in great shape. Randi West, WRMF: My policy in 2023 is to make myself 10 percent better than I was the day before! Something to strive for! Jagger, KCHZ: Dedicate more time to separate work from home and give myself time to catch my breath and focus on my outside affairs. Matt Johnson, WPLW: I’d like to find ways to be more creative. Guy Zapoleon, Zapoleon Consulting: This year I’ll spend more time seeing friends and family which I haven’t done during Covid! Being cautious worked ‘til I went to a local neighborhood brunch and Cathy and I caught it! Professionally finish writing a few books including one about the Music Cycle. Buster Satterfield, WIOQ: Personally, looking to buying a house. Professionally, just continue to have success and see growth with Q and within the company. Jammer, WEZB: Nothing let’s just keep everything amazing! Joe Breezy, WNFN: Professionally and personally I would love to have more patience. That, and write myself a ‘permission slip’ when needed. Sometimes we can be super critical of ourselves and it’s okay to just go with the flow and be open to change. |
