Are there any favorable lifestyle aspects adopted from life inside the pandemic that you’ll miss once it’s behind us?
Brian Mack, WXXL: I won’t miss anything. I’m going to retain all of the constructive additions I acquired during that period like meditation, reading, being around mi amor, and entrepreneurship, to my life going forward. This has been a gift! Josh Wolff, WAEB: Over the past year I spent a lot of time on the phone reconnecting with friends, and I expect that will occur less as we all get back to our activities as usual making people less available. Fish, WKRZ: Cooking! I love to cook and when I was at home, I got to cook a lot. Buster Satterfield, WIOQ: Forming a day’s schedule that’s more conducive to a work life balance. Valentine, WBHT: I love the fact that you can get right up and with minimal prep just roll right into your schedule uninterrupted. I didn’t miss driving everywhere all the time, not looking forward to that again. Another big one for me is lunch. I’m going to miss just walking into my kitchen for a good healthy meal, versus going through a drive-thru. Joey Brooks, WKSS: My professional life didn’t change much because I continued coming into the office and it was pretty much biz as usual. Jon Zellner, iHeart Media: Working in jammie pants and socks! Java Joel, Javajoelmurphy@gmail.com: The masks can go, but I’d like to keep the 6 foot rule apart. Especially at grocery stores. Keep away from me, strange person! |
Jeremy Rice, WBLI: Having NOT to attend Bouncy Castle kids’ birthday parties!! Torture! Mike McVay, McVay Media: While I enjoy travel, I’ve enjoyed NOT traveling five days a week, 48 weeks a year. I’m also going to miss working out every day, home-cooked meals, and seeing the kids daily. It will take a minute to get back into the groove. Guy Zapoleon, Zapoleon Consulting: Not changing a thing because iHeart allowed me the luxury of working from home the past ten years so there really was no adaptation phase for me. I quickly became very comfortable with the Microsoft Teams and Zoom meetings which I will continue to do in the future. Orlando, WLLD: I think the hand cleanliness. I’ve seen some nasty, fast exits from restrooms, across the country, so I’m hoping we continue to see our men singing “Happy Birthday”, in front of the sink, for a foreseeable future! R Dub! Z90: The absence of pants. Toby Knapp, WASH: I personally hope I continue to work to take time – on the weekends – to change the scenery, get out of my house/studio/office and live life. It’s been the greatest thing about the last 13 months… finally getting to the point where I work so that I can live, and not the other way around. The adventures I’ve been able to have… have been everything to me. Max Volume, KOZZ: Working from home, I saved a ton of money on gasoline! |
Jeff Hurley, iHeartMedia: Working exclusively from home allowed for schedule flexibility that I wouldn’t have during ‘normal’ times. No road trips or daily commutes gave me more time with my family. Jonathan Shuford, WRVW: Not really because I honestly think it forced us to make some lifestyle changes, but I really hope that most of them stick. Jana Sutter, WXXL: Aside from wearing yoga pants all day? I’ll miss the slower pace of the day. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed putting my work away and focusing on my family in the evening. Rick Vaughn, KENZ: I can go for a run any time I want and don’t have to wake up at 5 a.m. or run at the end of the day when I’m tired.
Mark Adams, KYLD & KIOI: I’ve grown to enjoy not having to see anyone or go anywhere. I think I’m ready to experience Federal prison. Mike “OD” O’Donnell, WKRZ: Having my own executive restroom daily that no one else uses! Lee Abrams MediaVisions: Nope! Heather Deluca, WSJO: Weekends at home! Less rushing around, getting from here to there. I like the free time I’ve had to (safely) spend time with family and my husband and fur babies. |
Next Week’s Question Of The Week:
