Post Malone debuts atop the Billboard 200 chart this week as his second album beerbongs & bentleys earned not only the biggest opening week of the year but set a new record for streaming numbers. The album earned 461,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music, 153,000 in traditional album sales.

beerbongs & bentleys tallied an amazing 431.3 million on-demand audio streams in the U.S. for its tracks during its opening week, flying past Drake‘s record for More Life of 384.8 million in March of last year. Its 461,000 equivalent album units beats out the previous largest week of the 2018…which was just 7 days ago with KOD from J. Cole‘s 397,000 units. Post Malone’s 2016 debut album Stoney has been a mainstay on the charts and lands in the top ten this week at #9. Billboard notes that Stoney has never left the top 25 of the Billboard 200 chart since its release. beerbongs & bentleys was also aided by a ticket/album bundle for his upcoming tour.

At #2 is Keith Urban with Graffiti U, which gives the veteran Country artist his seventh top 10 release. Graffiti U was also part of a concert ticket/album bundling deal.

KOD from J. Cole moves from #1 last week back to #3, followed by Cardi B with Invasion of Privacy and the soundtrack for The Greatest Showman.

Janelle Monáe comes in at #6 with the debut of her newest album Dirty Computer. Following her at #7 is rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again with his first full-length release Until Death Call My Name. Rockers Godsmack debut at #8 with When Legends Rise, which is the band’s seventh top 10 release on the Billboard 200 chart.

As previously mentioned, Stoney from Post Malone is at #9 and at #10 is Rearview Town from Jason Aldean.
